“Koalicja społeczeństwa obywatelskiego złożona z ponad 70 organizacji i inicjatyw planuje duże demonstracje w siedmiu niemieckich miastach w dniu 19 maja 2019. Tydzień przed wyborami do Parlamentu Europejskiego dziesiątki tysięcy ludzi chce wyjść na ulice dla Unii Europejskiej, praw człowieka, demokracji, sprawiedliwości społecznej i zmian ekologicznych pod hasłem “Europa dla wszystkich – Twój głos przeciwko nacjonalizmowi”.
Wraz z demonstracjami i towarzyszącymi im akcjami, koalicja prowadzi kampanię na rzecz głosowania w wyborach do Parlamentu Europejskiego 26 maja. Tym razem chodzi o przeciwstawienie się nacjonalizmowi i rasizmowi – dla demokratycznej, pokojowej, wspierającej i zrównoważonej Europy!”
Jako Polki mieszkające w Berlinie, widzimy nie tylko potrzebę manifestowania wartości, ale i solidarne działania polsko-niemieckie, dla przyszłości nas wszystkich. Zarówno w Polsce jak i w Niemczech, fale rasizmu, nacjonalizmu i łamania praw kobiet (człowieka), przybierają na sile. Nie możemy dopuścić do tego, by Parlament Europejski stał się brunatny!
Niedziela, 19 maja 2019 – demonstracje w miastach europejskich
Wybory do Parlamentu Europejskiego w dniu 26 maja 2019 r. pomogą zdecydować o przyszłości Unii Europejskiej. Nacjonaliści i prawicowi ekstremiści chcą wykorzystać je do zwiastowania końca UE i przywrócenia powszechnego nacjonalizmu. Ich celem jest wprowadzenie do Parlamentu Europejskiego znacznie większej liczby posłów do PE niż kiedykolwiek wcześniej. Wszyscy jesteśmy potrzebni do zatrzymania fali nacjonalizmu!
Sprzeciwiamy się pogardzie wobec ludzi i rasizmowi, które stawają się społecznie akceptowalne, sprzeciwiamy się nienawiści i niechęci do uchodźców i mniejszości. Nie pozwolimy na atakowanie praworządności i niezawisłych sądów, ograniczanie praw człowieka i wolności oraz zniesienie prawa do azylu. Dlatego apelujemy do wszystkich obywateli Europy, aby 26 maja zagłosowali przeciwko nacjonalizmowi i rasizmowi: za demokratyczną, pokojową i zjednoczoną Europą!
W czasach krajowych prób izolacji, ważniejsze niż kiedykolwiek jest, abyśmy jako społeczeństwo oparte na solidarności wspólnie pracowali na rzecz Europy, która realizuje wartości demokratyczne i praworządność ponad granicami i odwraca się od nacjonalizmu i izolacji. Razem mówimy: UE musi się zmienić, jeśli ma mieć przyszłość. Wspólnie walczymy o naszą wizję innej, lepszej Europy.
Nasza Europa przyszłości…
- broni człowieczeństwa i praw człowieka. Zamiast wzmacniać swoje granice i pozwalać ludziom tonąć w Morzu Śródziemnym, gwarantuje bezpieczne drogi ucieczki, prawo do azylu i sprawiedliwe procedury azylowe dla osób ubiegających się o ochronę.
- oznacza demokrację, różnorodność i wolność słowa. Zamiast słuchać potężnych lobby biznesowych, słucha głosów swoich obywateli. Broni praworządności, staje się bardziej demokratyczna i daje Parlamentowi Europejskiemu większe wpływy. Promuje tolerancję i gwarantuje różnorodność stylów życia, sprawiedliwość płci, wolność sztuki, kultury i prasy, a także żywe społeczeństwo obywatelskie.
- gwarantuje sprawiedliwość społeczną. Zamiast promować prywatyzację, deregulację i neoliberalne umowy handlowe, staje się przeciwwagą dla ogromnych wpływów korporacji. Opiera się na solidarności i zabezpiecza prawa pracowników. Wszyscy ludzie mają zagwarantowane prawo do edukacji, mieszkania, opieki medycznej i zabezpieczenia społecznego oraz życia wolnego od ubóstwa. Europa musi wywiązać się ze swoich obowiązków tutaj – zarówno w domu, jak i na całym świecie.
- jest motorem fundamentalnych zmian ekologicznych i rozwiązania kryzysu klimatycznego. Zamiast energii ze źródeł kopalnych i jądrowych, opiera się na odnawialnych źródłach energii. Umożliwia rolnictwo, które jest przyjazne dla klimatu. Jednocześnie gwarantuje, że zmiany będą amortyzowane społecznie i że powstaną dobre miejsca pracy.
W niedzielę, 19 maja 2019 r., dziesiątki tysięcy ludzi w całej Europie wyjdą na ulice jednocześnie – dla przyszłości Europy, przeciwko nacjonalizmowi.

Sonntag, 19. Mai 2019: Großdemos in den Städten Europas
Die Europawahl am 26. Mai 2019 ist eine Richtungsentscheidung über die Zukunft der Europäischen Union. Nationalisten und Rechtsextreme wollen mit ihr das Ende der EU einläuten und Nationalismus wieder groß schreiben. Ihr Ziel: Mit weit mehr Abgeordneten als bisher ins Europaparlament einzuziehen. Wir alle sind gefragt, den Vormarsch der Nationalisten zu verhindern!
Wir halten dagegen, wenn Menschenverachtung und Rassismus gesellschaftsfähig gemacht, Hass und Ressentiments gegen Flüchtlinge und Minderheiten geschürt werden. Wir lassen nicht zu, wenn Rechtsstaat und unabhängige Gerichte angegriffen, Menschen- und Freiheitsrechte eingeschränkt und das Asylrecht abgeschafft werden sollen. Deshalb appellieren wir an alle Bürger*innen Europas: Geht am 26. Mai wählen – tretet ein gegen Nationalismus und Rassismus: Für ein demokratisches, friedliches und solidarisches Europa!
In Zeiten nationaler Alleingänge ist es wichtiger denn je, dass wir uns als solidarische Gesellschaft für ein Europa einsetzen, das Demokratie und Rechtsstaatlichkeit über Grenzen hinweg verwirklicht und sich über Nationalismus und Abschottung hinwegsetzt. Gemeinsam sagen wir: Die EU muss sich ändern, wenn sie eine Zukunft haben will. Wir streiten gemeinsam für unsere Vision eines anderen Europas.
Unser Europa der Zukunft…
● verteidigt Humanität und Menschenrechte. Statt seine Grenzen zur Festung auszubauen und Menschen im Mittelmeer ertrinken zu lassen, garantiert es sichere Fluchtwege, das Recht auf Asyl und faire Asylverfahren für Schutzsuchende.
● steht für Demokratie, Vielfalt und Meinungsfreiheit. Statt vor allem auf mächtige Wirtschaftslobbys hört es auf die Stimmen seiner Bürger*innen. Es verteidigt den Rechtsstaat, wird demokratischer und gibt dem Europaparlament mehr Einfluss. Es fördert Toleranz und gewährleistet die Vielfalt an Lebensentwürfen, Geschlechtergerechtigkeit, die Freiheit von Kunst, Kultur und Presse sowie eine lebendige Zivilgesellschaft.
● garantiert soziale Gerechtigkeit. Statt Privatisierung, Deregulierung und neoliberale Handelsabkommen voranzutreiben, wird es ein Gegengewicht zum massiven Einfluss der Konzerne. Es baut auf Solidarität und sichert Arbeitnehmer*innenrechte. Allen Menschen wird das Recht auf Bildung, Wohnen, medizinische Versorgung und soziale Absicherung sowie ein Leben frei von Armut garantiert. Europa muss hier seiner Verantwortung gerecht werden – bei uns und weltweit.
● treibt einen grundlegenden ökologischen Wandel und die Lösung der Klimakrise voran. Statt auf fossile und nukleare Energien setzt es auf erneuerbare Energien. Es ermöglicht eine bäuerliche, klimagerechte Landwirtschaft. Gleichzeitig sorgt es dafür, dass der Wandel sozial abgefedert und gute Arbeit geschaffen wird.
Am Sonntag, den 19. Mai 2019 gehen europaweit zehntausende Menschen gleichzeitig auf die Straße! Für die Zukunft Europas, gegen Nationalismus!

Sunday 19 May 2019: Mass demonstrations in European cities
The European elections on 26 May 2019 will help decide the future of the European Union. Nationalists and right-wing extremists want to use them to herald the end of the EU and bring back widespread nationalism. Their goal is to bring far more MEPs into the European Parliament than ever before. We are all called upon to stop the tide of nationalism!
We stand opposed when contempt for humanity and racism are made socially acceptable, and hate and resentment against refugees and minorities are stirred up. We will not allow the rule of law and independent courts to be attacked, human rights and freedoms to be restricted and the right of asylum to be abolished. That is why we appeal to all European citizens to vote on 26 May against nationalism and racism: for a democratic, peaceful and united Europe!
In times of national attempts to go solo, it is more important than ever that we, as a society based on solidarity, work for a Europe that realises democracy and the rule of law across borders and turns its back on nationalism and isolation. Together we say: The EU must change if it is to have a future. We fight together for our vision of a different Europe.
Our Europe of the future…
● defends humanity and human rights. Instead of fortifying its borders and letting people drown in the Mediterranean, it guarantees safe escape routes, the right to asylum and fair asylum procedures for those seeking protection.
● stands for democracy, diversity and freedom of expression. Instead of listening to powerful business lobbies, it listens to the voices of its citizens. It defends the rule of law, becomes more democratic and gives the European Parliament more influence. It promotes tolerance and guarantees the diversity of lifestyles, gender justice, freedom of art, culture and the press as well as a lively civil society.
● guarantees social justice. Instead of promoting privatisation, deregulation and neo-liberal trade agreements, it becomes a counterweight to the massive influence of corporations. It builds on solidarity and secures workers’ rights. All people are guaranteed the right to education, housing, medical care and social security as well as a life free of poverty. Europe must live up to its responsibility here – both at home and around the world.
● drives fundamental ecological change and solving the climate crisis. Instead of fossil and nuclear energies, it relies on renewable energies. It enables farming that is climate-friendly. At the same time, it ensures that change is cushioned socially and that good jobs are created.
On Sunday, 19 May 2019, tens of thousands of people across Europe will take to the streets at the same time – for the future of Europe, against nationalism.
